Coronavirus (COVID 19)

  • UPDATE* Everyone is required to wear a face mask when they visit our clinic.
  • Face masks are not a substitute for physical distancing.
  • For more information visit theDHHS COVID-19 update webpage

If you have any flu like symptoms, been in a hotspot or been overseas please don’t book online, call the practice for further information. Ph: 9794 5055
Here the team at Stud Road Medical Centre would like to wish you the best of health and make sure to stay safe.

We are following all the Government and Health Department protocols regarding hygiene and social distancing to make sure that your visit to us is safe and that you and your family are not put at risk.

The requirement to wear a face mask does not apply to children (people aged under 12 years), individuals with breathing difficulties, and those who have physical conditions that make it difficult to wear a face mask.

Masks and children While the requirement is for anyone aged 12 years and over, families and careers can make their own decisions about whether children should wear a face mask. However, children younger than two should never wear a mask.
For more information about face masks for workforce please visit Victoria’s coronavirus website. Wearing a face mask protects you and your community by providing an additional physical barrier to coronavirus (COVID-19).

There are two types of face masks suitable for community use: cloth masks and surgical masks.

Please call reception or go to an emergency department before making a booking or visiting the medical centre.

How to reduce the spread of coronavirus

  • Wash hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds.
  • Dry with paper towel or hand dryer.
  • Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow.
  • Isolate yourself at home if you feel sick. If you take medication ensure you have adequate supplies.
  • Continue healthy habits: exercise, drink water, get plenty of sleep, and now is the time to quit smoking. Call the Quitline 137 848.
  • Buy an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with over 60 per cent alcohol.
